An early start as we journey to Northumberland and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. This historic tidal island is reached by a causeway and has a unique heritage with its beautiful Benedictine Priory and impressive 16th century castle, sited atop the volcanic mound known as Beblowe Crag.
The exhibition centre features interesting exhibits on the Lindisfarne Gospels, the Viking invaders and local flora and fauna. Add to this beautiful beaches, wildlife and an air of tranquillity and Holy Island has something to offer everyone! (4hr stay approx).
