Depart for Cosford & Telford

Travelling south we enjoy a fascinating visit to the RAF Museum at Cosford, where you can explore the vast hangars featuring the Cold War Exhibition, RAF Centenary Exhibition and Battle of Britain aircraft display (free entry). Later we check in at the Mercure Hotel, Telford for 4 nights half board accommodation.

A scenic drive to the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, where we explore the food, history, and landscape of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We continue to Ludlow with time to visit at leisure.

A full day visit to the Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site, known throughout the world as the symbol of the Industrial Revolution. We include a visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town.

Return home via the British Ironworks Centre

We travel home calling in at the British Ironworks Centre, where you can watch blacksmiths and artisans at work and marvel at the spectacular sculptures on display (free entry). We will arrive into our local area late afternoon.
